New tender opens to train bioinformaticians in Python
A unique opportunity to work with the Genomics Training Academy to provide a bespoke package to upskill NHS clinical bioinformaticians
NHS England’s Genomics Education Programme, as part of its Genomics Training Academy, is seeking an educational supplier to develop an innovative and bespoke package to upskill NHS clinical bioinformaticians in Python programming.
The learning package will include developing a sustainable ‘train the trainer’ model, so that the expertise developed by the first cohorts of learners can be passed on to future intakes of trainee bioinformaticians.
Upskilling the specialists
Developing competency in Python has been identified as a key priority for trainee bioinformaticians who are undertaking the three-year Scientist Training Programme.
The tender invites suppliers with the technical skills and experience to develop and deliver Python training programmes. The contract is worth up to £150,000 (plus VAT) and will span across 36 months.
