Dermatology joins GeNotes as 12th specialty
New dermatology collection covers a wide range of clinical scenarios, underpinned by extended opportunities for learning
Dermatology professionals now have access to a fantastic new set of useful resources to support their use of genomic testing in patient care.
The collection is the 12th specialty featured on GeNotes (genomic notes for clinicians), a free online resource co-produced with NHS clinical specialists. The dermatology working group includes members of the British Association of Dermatologists (BAD) Specialist Interest Group for Genetics (SGG) and was co-led by BAD-SGG chair and honorary consultant dermatologist Professor Neil Rajan and consultant dermatologist Dr Anna Dubois. You can hear what they think about the new collection on the BAD website.
What’s included
The launch collection comprises resources over two tiers of learning. The first is a series of eight short ‘In the Clinic’ scenarios. Designed to be used before or during a patient appointment, these quick-read summaries provide concise, tailored information on when, and how, to order a genomic test.
Underpinning these scenarios are nine in-depth ‘Knowledge Hub’ resources, offering more detailed understanding on topics relevant to the specialty and the application of genomics.
GeNotes for you
As well as dermatology-specific Knowledge Hub resources on GeNotes, you will find a wealth of educational resources on core concepts in genomics, technologies, therapies and more.
GeNotes also covers a wide range of other clinical specialties, including paediatrics, oncology and mental health. You can find the full list on our GeNotes homepage.
Are there any conditions or topics that you’d like to see in GeNotes? The Genomics Education Programme is always interested in hearing your feedback. If you think your speciality should be included, or you’re interested in getting involved, please get in touch.
