Genetics webinars for primary care professionals

The South West NHS GMC is hosting a series of free educational webinars for GPs, practice nurses and midwives

Working in partnership with the Gen-Equip educational project, the South West NHS GMC are offering four webinars covering essential topics to enable health professionals working in primary care to update their knowledge and skills in genetics.

The webinars will each focus on one relevant aspect of genetics:

Taking a family history (4pm 24 January 2017)

Recording the family history (4pm 31 January 2017)

Understanding genetic test results (date and time to be confirmed)

Understanding prenatal tests and results (date and time to be confirmed)

Each webinar will be interactive and last around 20-30 minutes, with a focus on practical and clinical issues to help you support your patients. All the webinars are free and a certificate of attendance will be issued to those who participate. The webinars can be accessed from your own computer with an internet connection, without the need for any specific software.
