Free interactive training course for nurses

Develop your skills in genetic counselling at this funded one-day primer hosted by the University of Cambridge

Genetic counsellors from the East Anglian Medical Genetics Service are holding a free interactive training day to help nursing staff develop skills in genetic counselling.

The training will take place at the University of Cambridge on 29 November and will focus on the essential genetics knowledge needed for genetic counselling and will introduce basic counselling skills.

The day is aimed at specialist and non-specialist nurses who need a basic knowledge, and is suitable for all NHS healthcare professionals who work with patients with inherited genetic conditions.

Places are limited, and priority will be given to metabolic, haemophilia and immunology nurses. For further details or to book your place, please email Gemma Chandratillake on glb28@medschl.cam.ac.uk
