In 2021, Health Education England’s Genomics Education invited medical professionals across the UK to complete a survey, ‘Genomics in your practice: a health and social care survey’.
The survey was designed to identify the learning needs and preferences of the UK medical workforce around genomics; in particular, to:
- assess if and how medics currently use genomics;
- measure self-perceived confidence in their genomics knowledge and skills;
- evaluate engagement with genomics education and training;
- understand their intention to use genomics in future practice; and
- identify future education and training requirements.
This report summarises the results of the survey.
