See genomics brought to life as dance performance piece

‘ConSequence’ will premiere in Manchester on 25th June as part of an evening of performances by local youth dance companies

Greater Manchester NHS Genomic Medicine Centre (GMC) has commissioned a dance piece titled ‘ConSequence’ to communicate about genomics and its impact on health and illness.

The piece will premiere at the William Thomas Theatre in Manchester on 25th June at 6pm. It will also feature dance performances from Manchester-based youth dance company The Pointe, Dance Syndrome, Chorley and District Boys Dance Company, and Edge FWD – a dance company from Edge Hill University.

ConSequence

‘ConSequence’ is a collaborative project between The Pointe Youth Dance Company, Dance Syndrome, commissioned by Greater Manchester GMC, choreographed by Bettina Carpi and composed by Gary Lloyd.

Tickets cost £10 for adults (£5 for concessions), and can be purchased from the theatre or direct from GMC director Bill Newman. All proceeds from ticket sales will go to Dance Syndrome, a local dance charity.
